We all saw how Loki killed Agent Phil Coulson during the first Avengers movie. It was heartbreaking. “Dying is not an option.” Nick Fury said to him. In Phil Coulson’s case, it is not. He returns to lead the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a peacekeeping force who protects the people from supernatural occurrences.

Woven by Joss Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon, Agents of Shield continues where the first Avengers left off. The series focuses on the story of the underdogs – the ones without the superpowers and how they will face with the world riddled by superheroes.

Follow Agent Phil Coulson and his team as they uncover the trail of havoc caused by HYDRA on season 1. On Season 2, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D are faced with the destruction of the agency, as well as the distrust of the government and the public. To add more damage to the problem, they discover a new group of villains called the Inhumans. As the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D fight off against Hydra and the Inhumans, Agent Coulson forms a team of Inhumans to aid them against the war. Will his plan work or will it add to the pile of disaster mounted on their backs?

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D are composed of a team of talented individuals in different fields such as Agent Melinda May – weapons expert and jet-pilot, Agent Grant Ward – black-ops specialist, Agent Skye Johnson – tech expert and more.

In case you’re wondering, yes, there are some crossovers and mentions of the other franchises of the Marvel comic universe in the series. The factor that made this show appealing is the highlight of ordinary people against the superheroes which is not usually the way Marvel works.

Garnering success from the previous seasons, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will return with Season 3 on your TV screens on September 29, 2015.
