Cloud Computing is very much in vogue with multiple providers of such services in the market. The Cloud provides an opportunity for Enterprise resources to be moved to the cloud. Enterprise IT departments today mostly manage applications across a maze of machines as part of a complex IT framework. Part of the network could be within their premise and the rest could be external. CIOs need to assess their unique IT mix from time to time to evaluate the composition of on-premises, private cloud and public cloud infrastructure. With evolving business goals, it is but natural that the composition of these would change from time to time. However, this is not an easy job.

This topic has come again and again… Artificial Intelligence and existence of humanity…whether the sci-fi movies depicting the horrors or the rogue side of Artificial Intelligence affecting human beings, or the various books written on this topic. Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) research driving humanity into an apocalypse or demise of the human civilization? This is the notion which has driven movies like The Terminator, Transcendence, The Matrix, Ex Machina, and many others. AI is likely to become “greater than the collective intelligence of every person born in the history of the world,” and others including humans – “will exist just to serve its intelligence,” warn the characters in the movie Transcendence.

It was just months ago in January 2015 that we were talking about the Fifth Generation release from Intel codenamed Broadwell processors for desktops, laptops, tablets and hybrids. The processor offered modest performance boosts and increased cell life. However, the next version of the Microprocessor was already waiting in the wings to be released soon, as there was considerable delay in release of Broadwell chip.

Intel Releases Speech Software of Stephen Hawking for Free

Professor Stephen Hawking, one of the widely known and respected physicists of our time has been in the news for some time for the way he articulates his thought provoking speeches. While Professor Hawking, 73 is one of the smartest that our planet has to offer, he suffers from a debilitating disease, a Motor Neuron Disease by name Leu Gehrig’s Disease which has virtually paralyzed him, kept him confined to a wheelchair and also impaired his speech.

It is time for a discussion of how the botting industry actually works and the myths propagated by game publishers like Blizzard and Daybreak. The relation of Botters, Gold Farmers, hackers and criminal activity needs clarification. The anti-botting propaganda put forth by various game publishers is too vague and leads players to inaccurate conclusions about botters, security and botting in general.

Spotify Apologizes After Privacy Changes Causes Outcry

A Swedish Company, Spotify, known globally for its music streaming, video streaming and podcasts is in the news again. Recently, the company embarked on an adventurous idea and unexpectedly changed its user terms and conditions. The company forced its customers to agree to its new terms and policies causing a backlash from its customer base, which consists of 75 million global users, 20 million of those being premium users. The modified policy immediately became viral among the customers, who considered this as a breach of their private information.
