Everyone wants to have a go at 3D effect because of the killer professional look it gives. There’s no denying that web masters and bloggers have now reached a whole new level, where there are some standards that one needs to fulfill, or the blog won’t look any good. 3D text effect is one of those standards that need fulfilling to get premium appearance online or even for domestic use if needed. But how does one do that without really knowing Photoshop? Well, here are some simple instructions to follow that you can use to convert your text into 3D without much effort.
Open Photoshop and go to ‘File’, select ‘New’. Choose your background contents as ‘white’, and the size of your new page. If you’re looking for high quality printing sizes, I recommend that you keep your page size 4 by 6 inches. Keep the color mode to ‘RGB color’ and hit okay.
To insert your text, choose the ‘T’ type tool on the left of the page where all the tools are displayed. In the text options, choose your text font, size, style and color. For an original 3D effect, it’s important that you choose a font that would enhance the text to look 3D. Choose a large and bulky font for your text. For the color, feel free to choose what you would like, match the text color with your blog’s color scheme and play with different shades for the text.
After you\’ve set the options for the text, type the text you want on the document page. Then when you’re satisfied with what will be displayed, click on the check mark on the top right to apply the action on the document, and to exit editing phase.
Next just click on the 3D button to open the 3D work space. After that you can move your text around and you can see it has been converted to 3D. How simple is that?
New options will appear for you to play around with your design. You can play around with the lighting to move the shadow about. You can even move your text until the back of the text is facing you. The possibilities are endless.
Above is what we came out with, our very own 3D text. Basically that\’s how you create 3D texts. Let us know how yours went and we would like to see it.
