In our previous post we discussed parental control through OpenDNS on Windows computers, this post is a follow up and it will discuss Parental Control on Android phone also using OpenDNS. Parental control is very important for parents in the internet era as the internet is an extremely valuable source of information but it also might be a devastation source for young kids if they don’t keep away from the dark side of it.
It’s worth noting before starting this tutorial is that this tutorial will discuss using OpenDNS on Wi-Fi.
Step 1: From the android menu, go to settings. and in the settings menu go to Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Select your Wi-Fi connection from the list and long press it.
Step 3: A new window will pop up, select the “Modify Network” option.
Step 4: A new window will pop up, check the “Advanced” option, then select proxy setting select “Manual” and in the IP settings select “Static”.

Step 6: Finally you have to clear the cache on the browser/
Congratulations, that was it! Your kids can now safely browse the internet.
