The Terminator: Genisys takes us back to 1984 where the T-1000 from Skynet is sent to kill Sarah Connor. John Connor sent his right hand man, Kyle Reese, back in time to protect his mother from the Terminator. Reese soon discovers that the timeline was altered, with Sarah Connor being raised by a Terminator reprogrammed to as the Guardian. John Connor goes back to the past to meet his mother and reveals himself as the new T3000 when the Guardian shoots him.
This topic has come again and again… Artificial Intelligence and existence of humanity…whether the sci-fi movies depicting the horrors or the rogue side of Artificial Intelligence affecting human beings, or the various books written on this topic. Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) research driving humanity into an apocalypse or demise of the human civilization? This is the notion which has driven movies like The Terminator, Transcendence, The Matrix, Ex Machina, and many others. AI is likely to become “greater than the collective intelligence of every person born in the history of the world,” and others including humans – “will exist just to serve its intelligence,” warn the characters in the movie Transcendence.
Given that a month ago, Cyanogen announced that their operating system, CyanogenMod, has surpassed the user numbers of Windows Mobile and Blackberry combined, things aren’t all that bright for Microsoft. This is quite the surprise, as CyanogenMod is nothing more than a modded version of Android, and the fact that it managed to do better than two hugely-advertised operating systems is truly astonishing.
Windows 10 was finally released on the 29th of July. If you’re running Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, then you’re eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10 in the first year of its release. There are two ways by which you could upgrade your machine with Windows 10.
If you have been following our posts here, then you would have known about Windows 10 release, its pros and cons and that it’s available as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8 owners. You should also be able to upgrade to it by, either using Microsoft Media Creation Tool or, using the standard upgrade icon on the status bar.
Windows 10 may not be loaded with new innovative features that have the “Wow Factor” some people expect in an upgrade, but it is a darn sight better then Windows 8. I for instance still prefer Linux to Windows but was happy to be rid of the bad UI design of Windows 8 on the computers that I still use Windows on. I have read some incredibly negative feedback on line, but most of it is based in FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) or ignorance. Sure, there are some real concerns over privacy and user choice in Windows 10, but most of these have been taken by others and blown way out of proportion.
What are your expectations of a good first person shooter game? Battlefield Hardline is the sum of awesome action, great game play and notable plot. With incredible voice actors adding life to the characters, you can expect to be entertained with every cut-scene.
