I never had any interest in the Terminator until I saw Daenerys Targeryan as Sarah Connor in the latest Terminator: Genisys. To add to the recipe, Arnold Schwarzenegger being funny is something to look forward to. The trailer teases with a preview of the twisted plot that will want you to add the movie to your weekend to-do-list.

The Terminator: Genisys takes us back to 1984 where the T-1000 from Skynet is sent to kill Sarah Connor. John Connor sent his right hand man, Kyle Reese, back in time to protect his mother from the Terminator. Reese soon discovers that the timeline was altered, with Sarah Connor being raised by a Terminator reprogrammed to as the Guardian. John Connor goes back to the past to meet his mother and reveals himself as the new T3000 when the Guardian shoots him.

A Terminator franchise will not be complete without Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Terminator turned into Sarah Connor’s guardian. The mother of dragons, Emilia Clarke plays the role of Sarah Connor, the protector of the humanity against the war machines. John Connor is played by Jason Clarke and Kyle Reese, the young soldier is played by Jai Courtney.

The Terminator: Genisys is basically going against the nature of the previous franchise. Normally, they travel to the future, but this time they are going back in time. Messing with time has never been a good idea. The root of the problem of this movie just proved it entirely. The series will not be complete without the play of graphics of bullet-absorbing and skin changing terminators. Seeing Khaleesi wield guns rather than dragons is a surprise. Although, I prefer to see her on Drogon’s back.

Terminator: Genisys is a pleasant mix of humour, action and surprises. With releases on both IMAX 3D and Real 3D, Terminator: Genisys is a treat worthy for your relaxing weekend.
