Every superhero has a quote left to them by a loved one they lost. As for The Flash:

Instead of going by the words left by his mom, Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, steered away to the opposite direction. He became the fastest man alive. He became the Flash.

Barry has been obsessed with chasing after the blur of light that killed his mom. His dad was accused of murdering his mom. And so, he dedicated himself into clearing the name of his dad. By becoming a brilliant crime scene investigator and a science buff, he hopes to shed some truth to the mysterious murderer of his mom by chasing one unusual crime after the other.

One night, the city succumbs into an artificially generated storm from the S.T.A.R.S. Lab. Barry, working in his lab, was struck by the lighting. 9 months after the incident, Barry wakes up from a coma in the laboratory led by Dr. Harrison Wells. Possessing super-human speed, Barry was described by Dr. Wells as “metahuman”. Barry vowed to utilize his superhuman speed for the good by protecting the citizens of the Central City against the metahuman criminals. As he defeats the metahumans, he gets to peel the layers about the reality of his mom’s death. However, will he be able to handle the gravity and the twisted truth that it holds?

DC brilliantly teases its audience with a smart cross-over between its other heroes. With a powerful origin and story line, The Flash promises to keep you wanting for one episode after the other.

Season two is due for release on fall this year as announced by showrunners, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. There will be more time travelling, future glimpses, bitter revelations, and more drama. The Question is: Are you ready to catch up with The Flash for season 2?
